have incorporated a cyclosportive event into their Pyrenean visit for the
experience of it or as part of their training plan.
If you would like to enter any of the following races/ events
listed below (or any others not mentioned here), we can assist
with race entries and provide logistical support, if required. |

Please note that to enter any cyclosportive event, it is required that you have a suitable race license such as FFC (British Cycling Federation licenses are not accepted) or provide a medical certificate from your doctor stating that you are fit to compete in such an event.

Ronde de L'Isard
16th - 19th May 2013 - International U23 4 day stage race in the Midi Pyrenees.

Montée du Géant du Tourmalet 8th June 2013 - Each year the famous Géant sculpture of Octave Lapize is transported to the summit of the Tourmalet after spending the winter in Bagneres de Bigorre. This year the ride also celebrates the centenary of the famous Tour de France episode when Eugene Christophe snapped his forks descending the Tourmalet then fixed them at a forge. Cycle in the procession accompanying the Géant to the top of the Tourmalet. This is a free event and anyone can join in.

Pedals de Foc Ultra Marathon Mtb
28th June - 30th June 2013 - Cross-country mountain bike raid in the Val d'Aran, Spain. 218km with 6,200m of climbing/ descending. Entry opens 1st March and closes 13th June. Accommodation, food and other services are included in the entry fee.

L'Ariegeoise Cyclosportive
29th June 2013 - Starting in Tarascon-sur-Ariege with three courses on offer:
grand circuit 163km (3,121m climbing); petit route 101km (2,408m
climbing); and the cyclotouriste 77km (683m climbing). Entry
cost includes a shirt and post race food and is between €28
and €34 depending on distance. |

La Pyreneenne Cyclosportive
14th July 2013 - Departing from Bagneres de Bigorre, there are two routes to choose from: 185km with 4,450m of climbing or 115km with 2,950m of climbing. Further details are available on the race

Pyrénées involving both the French and Spanish sides of the
Pyrénées.

La Barousse-Balès Cyclosportive
11th August 2013 - A mountainous cyclosportive, starting and finishing just 4km
from us at Izaourt. There
are two distances on offer - 138km including the Col d'Azet, Col de Peyresourde and Port de Bales, or 117km including Col de Peyresourde and Port de Bales (altitude
1,755m). Race entry is €30 (before 1st August and €33 from 2nd August and includes a post race meal. There is also a cyclotouriste route of 80km through the rolling foothills. Race entry is €12 excluding food . Please contact us for entry forms. Further

1st September 2013 - 2013 marks the 25th running of this popular cyclosportive. Departing
from Luchon, there are three courses available: 141km with 2,800m
of climbing; 117km
with 2,300m of climbing and 69km with 1,300m of climbing. All
three routes take in the hors category Port de Bales. Visit the race website for

Fabio Casartelli Cyclosportive
7th September 2013 - Starting from the town of Saint Girons, there are three courses
available: the grand circuit 140km (2,122m climbing) or the
petite route 110km (1,683m climbing) and 46km (619m climbing). Entry cost is €35.
