The Homestead of Velo Pyrenees

Immediatley on entering the courtyard through the large wooden gates, your eyes are drawn to the quintessential French stone farmhouse. A profusion of pink roses adorn the facade whilst an ancient grapevine twines itself over the front door. Dating from 1786, the farmhouse has been completely renovated whilst retaining many original features, including exposed beams, stone walls and open fireplaces. Most recently, working with eco-friendly building materials sourced locally, we have completed a large renovation of the Stables dining area.

Our orchard with numerous fruit and nut trees is also home to some of our pasture-raised free-range chickens. The orchard is maintained biodynamically, ensuring that the fruit we harvest is of the highest nutritional quality and full of vitality.

Extending beyond the orchard is our biodynamically maintained vegetable garden. In this oasis of peace and tranquility Julie works the land with the rythmns of Nature and her hens to produce food full of flavour, nutrition and vitality for the table.
