The Barousse Valley and surrounding mountains is a paradise for runners of all abilities with spectacular mountain trails and forest tracks.

Whether you're solo, male, female or in a small group, whether you're experienced or just starting out or enjoy mixing road with trail and mountain running, there's something for you. The trails provide a fantastic mix of forest, mountain single tracks and 4WD tracks or quiet back roads linking trails.

There are many ancient trails and tracks linking the villages of the valley - some are waymarked but many, and normally the best trails, are only known through local knowledge and many hours of "exploration!"

Goal Focused Athletes

If you're training for a marathon, half-marathon, ultra , stage races or track events, we can help you structure your training to fit in with your goals or you can just run as you feel. Julie has delivered training programmes for junior international track athletes, including Kenyan hill sessions at altitude, fell runners, marathon runners and ultra runners, including a first ever night run in preparation for Mont Blanc.

Run Like A Local

We provide laminated maps and files for GPS devices. We will advise you on routes, talking through options and logistics such as food and water.

In true Paula Radcliffe style, rejuvenate your tired muscles by submerging your limbs in the cool and refreshing mountain river opposite our homestead, so that you are ready to don your trail shoes the next day.
